The winners of the seventh edition of the Alexandrion Trophy Gala have been revealed. The Alexandrion Foundation honoured the athletes who achieved outstanding performances in 2021. They have been offered the Alexandrion Trophies and financial rewards for their contribution to the development of Romanian sports. The event is the only one organized and supported entirely by a private entity in Romania.
The President’s message
“Since we started organizing the Alexandrion Trophies Gala, it’s like starting a race without knowing how many kilometers we have to run. We have already reached the third edition of this event and we are going to continue doing it. We are honored by the efforts these athletes have put forward to achieve performance and make us proud of their achievements.”
The winners of the 2022 Alexandrion Trophies are :
Nicoleta-Ancuța Bodnar and Simona Radiș rowing (double scull) – Olympic champions, European champions;
Ana Maria Brânză – Popescu sword – silver medal at the Olympic Games, the best swordswoman in the world in 2021;
Marius Cozmiuc and Ciprian Tudosă rowing (double sculls) – silver medal Olympic Games
Mihăiţă Ţigănescu, Mugurel Semciuc, Ştefan Berariu, Cosmin Pascarirowing (4 sculls) – silver medal at the Olympic Games;
Robert Glință, swimming (100 m backstroke) – gold medal at the European Swimming Championships in Budapest; silver medal (100m backstroke) and bronze medal (50m backstroke) at the European Short Course Championships;
Vlăduț Simionescu judo (100+ kg category – silver medal at the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam and silver medal at the Judo Grand Prix Zagreb;
Alex Bologa judo (60 kg category) – bronze medal;
David Popovici swimming – 3 gold medals at the Junior European Championships in Rome, gold medal (200 m freestyle) at the European Championship in short pool;
Marcel Manea bodybuilding – world champion;
Eduard Novak cycling (individual pursuit 4000m) – silver medal

Andreea Costache – badminton -12 years old;
Mara Gae Tennis – field tennis -16 -17 years;
Bianca Costea swimming -16-17 years;
