Matei Brancoveanu awards are dedicated to artists, cultured people and early-career scientists. This year Matei Brâncoveanu Awards Gala will take place on December 12.

The proposals and nominations can be submitted online either on the addresses: gala@fundatia-alexandrion.ro or redactia@cotidianul.ro, partner of the event since the beginning, and directly at the Alexandrion Foundation headquarters in 19 A Nicolae Grigorescu Street, Otopeni, Ilfov county or at Cotidianul newspaper editorial office, 76 Parângului Street, sector 1, Bucharest.

Each proposal must be accompanied by a brief presentation of the reasons for which the nomination has been made. The deadline for submission of candidatures or nominations for Matei Brancoveanu Awards – 3rd edition is 4th December 2017. A jury consisting of specialists and personalities will be the one who will ultimately decide the winners of the trophies.

Matei Brâncoveanu Awards appeared as a natural result of Constantin Brâncoveanu awards, dedicated to the seniors in culture and science. Matei Brâncoveanu Gala was called after the name of the martyr ruler’s cadet who, together with his father and brothers, sacrificed for the country and faith

So far, Alexandrion Foundation has offered 14 “Matei Brâncoveanu” awards in the fields of: literature, visual arts, theatre, film, dance, classical music, pop/jazz music and socio-human sciences.
