The Alexandrion Trophies represent the Alexandrion Foundation’s enduring commitment to excellence in sports. Organized for the first time in 2016, this was the first event of its kind in Romania, designed to celebrate and reward athletic performance at the highest level.

Each year, ten internationally renowned athletes are recognized for their outstanding results, making the Trophies a landmark celebration of sporting achievement. The Alexandrion Trophies were organized by the Alexandrion Foundation until 2023, after which they were taken over by the Alexandrion Group as part of its sports marketing strategy.

Beyond the event itself, the Foundation has long supported Romanian sports, from handball and football teams to disciplines such as golf, rugby, cycling, boxing, polo, volleyball, and tennis. It has also partnered with the Romanian Olympic Sports Committee, contributing to three Olympic Games—in Athens, London, and Beijing—and helping athletes reach peak performance on the world stage.

The Alexandrion Trophies reaffirm the Foundation’s belief that sport is not only about medals, but also about passion, perseverance, and the power to inspire generations.
