Famagusta Gate, host of the launch event of Alexandrion Foundation in Cyprus

Alexandrion Foundation now also has a subsidiary in Cyprus. On Monday, 27th November 2017, the Foundation awarded a series of personalities from Cyprus and Romania, who helped to strengthen relations between the two countries.

Alexandrion Foundation was established in 2003 in Romania as an independent part of Alexandrion Group, the largest alcoholic beverage producer in our country.

The Values and Principles of the Foundation

The Foundation aims to promote and support humanitarian ideas with a focus on cultural and sporting events. The common reference point in all its activities is the financial, social and cultural development of the agencies, of the independent groups that place the individual and his/her development at the centre of their interests.

These principles, as mentioned in the opening speech of Mr. Nawaf Salameh, founder and president of Alexandrion Foundation and Alexandrion Group, are also taken over by Alexandrion Cyprus Foundation in order to be cultivated and promoted on the island; a country with long-lasting contacts with Romania, both in terms of trade relations and in cultural and ideas exchange.

For this reason, the launch event of Alexandrion Cyprus Foundation was dedicated to those personalities who, without any further reason, devoted their work to building relations between the two countries.

The award ceremony was followed by a glamorous reception accompanied by live jazz and swing music, where guests had the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of imaginative dishes and cocktails, a range inspired by the selection of beverages imported to Cyprus by Alexandrion Group through its official distributor, Fereos Fourpoint Distribution Ltd.

Following the launch event, Alexandrion Foundation set out its lines for future actions in Cyprus and created the necessary links for the cultural and social responsibility it assumed.
