The Constantin Brâncoveanu Awards Gala, a heartfelt celebration of Romania’s cultural and historical heritage, joyfully announced the laureates of its 11th edition. Organized each year by the Alexandrion Foundation, this prestigious event shines a light on extraordinary achievements in culture and science, honoring personalities whose work uplifts, inspires, and leaves a lasting mark on society. The 11th edition unfolded at the Alexandrion Experience Hotel in Sinaia, welcoming 200 guests to an enchanting evening filled with artistry, dedication, and the spirit of legacy, where every moment celebrated talent, passion, and the enduring power of human creativity.

Special awards

His All Holiness Bartholomew I, Archbishop of Constantinople/New Rome and Ecumenical Patriarch, in recognition of his tireless efforts to promote peace and dialogue worldwide.

Each laureate is carefully selected by a distinguished jury, whose members bring decades of experience and vision in their respective fields. This year, the jury included:

President & Science, Technology, and Innovation Judge:

Prof. Univ. Dr. Daniel David – Psychologist, Rector of Babeș-Bolyai University, member of the Romanian Academy.

Vice-President & Visual Arts Judge:

Ștefan Râmniceanu – Painter, sculptor, poet, filmmaker.

Theater Judge:

Prof. Univ. Dr. Ludmila Patlanjoglu – Theatrologist and critic.

Film:

Magda Mihăilescu – Film critic.

Music:

Sorina Goia – Musicologist.

Architecture:

Prof. Univ. Dr. Marian Moiceanu – Architect and Rector of the University of Architecture and Urbanism “Ion Mincu”.

History:

Prof. Dr. Constantin Corneanu – Historian, President of the Board of Directors of the European Association for Geopolitical and Strategic Studies “Gheorghe I. Brătianu”.

Artistic Moments

The Gala was enriched with extraordinary artistic performances that celebrated the richness of Romanian music. Internationally renowned artists took the stage, including soprano Irina Baianț, violinist Alexandru Tomescu, flutist Cătălin Oprițoiu, pianist and composer Xenti Runceanu, and tenor Ovidiu Lazăr, accompanied by the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Andrei Tudor. Their performances transformed the ceremony into a true tribute to art and culture.
